Indexable insert drills

Indexable insert drills are a less expensive alternative for larger hole diameters compared to solid carbide drills. Indexable insert drills consist of a steel body with ground flutes with slots for replaceable drilling inserts.

The steel body ensures high impact strength of the entire tool, and the carbide inserts provide satisfactory durability with the possibility of using high drilling parameters.

Drilling depth may be a limitation of compound drills. The bodies are usually produced up to max. 9xD.
