Internal grooving holders
Holders for internal grooving are produced in the form of boring bars with slots for grooving inserts – grooving boring bars.
Monoblocks with a insert pocket are also used. A common variant is an additional supply of coolant to the insert, lowering the working temperature of the tool and effectively removing chips from the detail hole.
In internal grooving, you can find modular tools in the form of a holder with a replaceable module for a cutting insert. Such a set allows for quick retooling of the module to the insert depending on the required groove on the detail.
