Indexable inserts for drilling
Inserts and replaceable head for drills are usually made of sintered carbide. They are installed in specially ground pockets in the steel body of the drill. Mounting is done with a screw or tangentially.
The tips allow you to map the geometries of monolithic drills, including the chisel edge.
Drilling inserts most often come in square or trigonal geometry.
