External grooving holders
External grooving/parting holders – most often in the form of a blade or monoblock with an insert pocket.
The use of a monoblock with a shank with a square section allows to maintain the stability of machining and prevents the occurrence of vibrations during cutting.
The use of the blade allows us to obtain greater cutting depths compared to the z holder
square shank. The blade should be selected according to the cutting depth in order to compensate for its deflection – which may result in the destruction of the tool.
